It’s a straight six for Team fc as they celebrate BRCGS ‘AA’ grade retention!

For a sixth year in a row, fc cartons are celebrating their BRCGS – Packaging & Packaging Materials standard retention ‘AA’ grade level.

Debra Woodyatt, Director of Finance & Systems, was both proud and delighted at the retention, which was achieved as Team fc faced their first unannounced audit:

“I am extremely proud of our team and the ‘AA’ grade we have achieved. Six years or 2,191 days is a long time which really does demonstrate everyone’s continued hard work, commitment and the importance of product safety within our business.

We’re so pleased with the outcome of our Audit; obviously with an ‘AA’ grade for the last five years the pressure was on to retain it. It just reinforces the team’s positive work ethic that we all have and every one of our staff understands the importance of external accreditation to our business.”

Team fc, have a 36,000sq ft Production Hub which has been designed to maximise production efficiency. Working in a ‘BRCGS AA grade’ environment ensures they achieve the most efficient and highest quality of finishing, together with exacting standards of hygiene and environmental care. Team fc continually invest in the latest and most efficient equipment available, but it is the team who provide innovation, knowledge, experience and expertise to deliver specialist finishing solutions which dovetail with their customer’s capabilities and requirements.

Having achieved our BRCGS ‘AA’, Team FC quickly focus on their ISO and PEFC accreditations:

Leadership and Commitment

Leadership and commitment were evidenced during the audit. Top management take ultimate accountability for the management system, ensuring they engage, direct and support. The management system adopts a process approached and risk-based thinking. The management team provide leadership to create and maintain a culture within the organisation which encourages the fulfilment of the objectives. They have responsibility for ensuring that the policies are understood, implemented and complied with. All personnel are responsible for ensuring that each part of the management system relevant to them, is operated in accordance with specified requirements.

Customer satisfaction

The organisation has been assessed and focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements have been determined, understood and are being continually met. This includes ensuring risks and opportunities that can affect conformity are determined and addressed.

Consultation and Participation of workers

The organisation has established, implemented and maintained a process for consultation and participation of workers at all applicable levels and functions, and, where they exist, workers’ representatives, in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation and actions for improvement of the OH&S management system.
