Embossing Dies produce a raised readable mark and Debossing Dies produce a sunken relief.
The process of die-cutting and creasing can be combined with embossing and debossing. Using our IBERICA JR-105, we are able to create raised relief and sunken images and designs in a variety of materials.
The process requires the use of two dies: one that is raised (male) and one that is recessed (female).
The dies fit into each other, so when the paper is pressed between them, the male die forces the stock into the female die and creates the embossed impression. The process is reversed for a debossed impression.
