The cup final was perfect in every way. The result, the performance, the support and the weather was fitting for our first trophy in 18 years. After a tough season off the pitch, there was a feeling around the squad that it was just meant to be. Ninety minutes and four goals later, relief, excitement and a few tears followed as we lifted the Harry Chilton Trophy in front of everyone who has supported us this season. The celebrations that followed at the Chequers we will leave to the imagination, but we can assure everyone that we made up for that 18 year wait for a trophy. This team is something special, and we intend to improve and continue our journey with hopefully more silverware on the horizon. The ethics and unity of the club has always been the main priority – in many ways the same as Team fc where we practice, demonstrate and stand by our values but above all we believe in them.
