Team fc are delighted to announce our latest Green credentials initiative

Carbon offsetting funds solutions to reduce carbon emissions now! Frequently carbon offsetting reduces emissions much faster than individuals or single company initiatives. Carbon offsetting projects help to combat global climate change as well as caring for local communities. In many instances providing much needed employment, health improvement, biodiversity, reforestation and broad social benefits to impoverished communities.

“Here at fc tree planting has made a significant contribution to our Carbon Neutral status and we will continue to support these great campaigns and will of course continue with our other existing initiatives, whilst always looking for further opportunities both internally and externally to protect and extend our 14 year Carbon Neutral status; we are challenging the business to become Climate Positive”.

Debra Woodyatt – Director of Finance & Systems

Team fc have always taken their environmental impact extremely seriously, attaining and retaining a carbon neutral status for fourteen years and have ISO 14001 and PEFC (PEFC/16-33-2256) certification. Our innovation team continually strive to enhance our customers’ finishing solutions whilst supporting and developing the use of fully recyclable, compostable and biodegradable paper based products.

Team fc have been Carbon Neutral for 14 years and continue to strive to identify new areas where we can add to our Green credentials – we have identified one such opportunity: “Seagrass”

Seagrasses are the unsung heroes of our coastal seas. As much as 92% of the UK’s seagrass has been lost, restoring it is vital for ocean health. Seagrass has huge benefits. It can protect coasts, improve water filtration and plays the following important roles:

Fisheries Support
Twenty percent of the world’s biggest fisheries are supported by seagrass meadows as fish nurseries.

Biodiversity Support
Fifty species of fish live in or visit UK seagrass, supporting thirty times more animals than nearby habitat.

Fight Climate Change
Seagrass meadows store carbon as effectively as forests. 400kg of carbon dioxide per hectare, per year.

Team fc are actively looking at ways we can support this vital initiative.
