It was a bright sunny day when the cameras rolled at our Castle Donington facility. The film crew from Derby Business TV (DBTV) were here working with us on a project to showcase the various companies that had secured funding through Derby Enterprise Growth Fund’s Enterprise Expansion Scheme.
We applied for the grant in 2013 in a bid to help us with our growth and development. This included expanding our manufacturing facility by taking a larger unit on the Langham Park Industrial Estate whilst retaining our existing facility, as well as acquiring new specialist machinery. In addition to enabling us to double our capacity and improve our carton finishing service, the funding is set to help us create 12 new jobs.
As the crew made their rounds on the premises, they filmed our extended production facilities with the new Iberica Die-Cutter Press and the Videojet 1520 Continuous Ink Jet Printer. Neale Lewis who runs DBTV interviewed us and explained, ‘DBTV was set up to showcase the fantastic work that businesses in Derby are achieving and to bring together the local business community. fc cartons exemplifies that successful business and today’s session is intended to share their good practice and business advice to help promote the city to inward investors.’
